The work talks about the process of building our digital identity in social networks and how we adapt the main events of our lives in order to exhibit ourselves online. Under rules dictated by applications controlled by the market, we are exposed to a dangerous intersection between capitalism and ego, that brings the objectification of identity. Superselfie seeks to reflect this phenomenon and our performance but in a real environment, establishing for a moment an “offline social network” where we are physically close to our audience. The work intends to re-signify for a moment, within this small spontaneous community, the act of the selfie in a kind of collective ritual.
